Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How successful is hypnotherapy?
A: Hypnosis has been used since the 1700’s to help change habits by working directly with the subconscious mind, where automatic behaviors live. While results vary, and no ethical practitioner can guarantee outcomes, many clients experience a noticeable reduction in emotional attachment to their unwanted habit after one session.
Q: Will I be unconscious or out of control?
A: No. Hypnosis is a focused, relaxed state, similar to being absorbed in a book or movie. You remain aware, in control, and able to stop at any time. You cannot be made to do anything against your will.
Q: Is this aversion therapy?
A: Not Aversion Therapy. No Fear. No Force.
My approach does not rely on shame, punishment, or making your unwanted habit repulsive. Instead, we work with the subconscious mind to release the habit at its root.
Q: How many sessions will I need?
A: My work is designed to create change in one comprehensive session. If no noticeable shift occurs within seven days, a reduced-rate reinforcement session is available.
Q: What if I’ve tried hypnosis before?
A: My approach combines hypnosis with a background in engineering and exercise science. This allows me to approach your unwanted pattern as a system, not a mindset issue, and tailor each session to you.
Q: Do I need to quit smoking before the Cessation Program?
A: I ask all clients to dispose of all smoking-related products the day before their session and to arrive smoke-free. This helps signal commitment and allows us to work with a clear starting point during the session.
Q: What happens during the session?
A: We start with a short conversation to understand your patterns and triggers. Then we move into a guided hypnosis process designed to reduce cravings, detach emotional associations, and reinforce healthier responses. You will leave with tools to support the change.
Q: Can anyone be hypnotized?
A: Most people can enter a hypnotic state if they are willing and open. Hypnosis is not something done to you, it is something you actively participate in.
Q: How much does a session cost?
A: Services are priced based on the desired outcome, with additional supportive options available separately.
Q: Is this covered by insurance?
A: Reinhardt Hypnosis does not work directly with insurance. Payment is due at the time of booking.
Q: How do I book?
A: You can booking directly through the website or contact me directly with any questions before scheduling.
